For all of us, life is a challenge. Most of us don't know where we are going or which way to go when we come to a crossroads in our lives. Where the road leads, anybody knows. In life, we often take a road that is mysterious and foreboding. Robert Frost captured this perfectly in his great piece of poetry, The Road Less Traveled. There is also the path to my Chagrin Falls dental office, which is where I will let you in on the secrets of my profession. You can learn all you want to know about dentistry. I will certainly not hesitate to teach you as much as I can. I will give you how much information you seek. You set the limits.

Dental implants is something I could go on and on about, if you really want.

I have much to tell you about implants. You can hear of the pros and cons about implants. You should know what to expect prior to sitting in the chair.

Implant dentistry is often considered a restorative as well as a conservative option. Being a Chagrin Falls implant dentist, I have been seeing more and more people wanting implants.

People also recognize me as a general dentist. I am not a periodontist or prosthedontist. But I do have a lot of experience with implants.

Implants can be used as substitutes for teeth that was extracted or missing.

We first use a piece of dental metal that will be bonded to the bone in your jaw.

Essentially, this acts as a root. The good thing is bone will develop around your custom-made root, becoming a key part of your body.

Then we place the crown on your tooth. We use either porcelain or ceramic. You new crown will blend in with your original teeth so no one will know the difference.

We also have another method for dental implants in Chagrin Falls in terms of what we do to the other teeth. Once we install the implant, we will not mess around with adjacent teeth. You can be sure they will stay put and they will not suddenly deteriorate. They will be like that for a very long time.

If you would like to try something else, maybe you would prefer to have a fixed bridge. If so, then it's hard not to disturb other teeth. We would have to give them crowns. Not everyone is happy with this. As a result, implants are probably the best way to go.

Don't think implants are anything like partial dentures. I can tell you that you can't get anything much stronger than a dental implant. It will stay firmly attached and you probably won't know it's there after a while.

Dental implants are also great for your gums because they don't suffer the grinding effect of clashing with the dentures on a daily basis. Adding to the problem is the gap separating the bridge from the gum.

Dental implants are not totally free of risks, as I mentioned before. We need to be watchful against infection. This means that we need to plan out everything before I come close to your teeth. In addition, I need to satisfy myself that you are suitable for an implant. When everything is passed, it is time to put the implant. This is done by one of two people. Myself or another dentist who is equally qualified. After that comes follow-up visits to make sure everything is okay.

Even if we finish putting in the implant, I will continue to keep an eye on you for however long it takes. I will only stop once I'm happy you've fully recovered. This is very important to me because I am concerned about your well being. As a Chagrin Falls implant dentist, I should.
