A Chagrin Falls Dental Implant Protects the Jaw Bones
A Chagrin Falls dental implant crown carries out the normal job of any other crown when it is placed on to a prepped tooth. In our clinic, we have a slightly different process. That is, by the time we are ready to install the crown, we can leave your original tooth material alone. Unlike other procedures, where it is necessary to file it down. We only just put an abutment to join the pieces. You may hear this term in engineering circles, especially with bridges. In dentistry, it is what connects an implant and crown together. It removes the need to prep your tooth for the crown.
There are great advantages to having a Chagrin Falls dental implant. It provides key protection to your jaw. It stops the jaw bones from deteriorating. It doesn't take an expert to understand why. The bone matter would probably die away.
Bone can also be affected when putting in bridges or dentures. During the process, for us to go through replacing damaged and lost teeth, we also seal the fate of the bone cells that surround the root of the tooth that was extracted.
With a Chagrin Falls dental implant, you won't have this problem. The implant we put in your jaw will keep it safe by imitating a genuine tooth. The root we plant into your jaw will be cylindrical and made of titanium. It takes several months for the bone matter to reproduce and surround the titanium root and readily receive the root as if it were real.
However, even if you have had dentures in your mouth for years and years. Or you are fitted with a bridge, we can still install a dental implant. This is also true with a damaged jaw bone. The jaw bone can still be strengthened by taking bone from other parts of your body and leaving it for a while. By the time it heals, your jaw will be ready for the implant. When strengthening your jaw, we usually take bone either from your jaw itself or hip.
When your jaw is healed following the reinforcement process, the implant is ready to go in. Then add the dental crown, and the whole thing is finished. This is a tried and tested procedure. We are, in effect, giving you a prosthetic dental implant crown that will last for a very long time. Best of all, it won't injure your jaw and will not make you look older than your age.
