There is no such thing as a vacation for dentists. That's actually an advantage for all the people I treat, because that means I'll be jogging their memories to strictly and forcefully brush their teeth. This is spot on advice, even if someone already has had dental crown work done. Chagrin Falls dentist Fotolia_7258534_XS.jpg

It may seem like dental crowns would be eternal, but plaque germs can still be quite tricky. They will penetrate any crevice they can. And after they infiltrate the crown, they will just take more of the tooth root that is already expended.

In these conditions, it may be necessary to pull the tooth and get a dental implant. But there have been instances where plaque bacteria has been known to overrun dental implants.

If you make an appointment to come to my Chagrin Falls dental office with a tooth that is too damaged for a veneer or filling to deal with, then we have to proceed with a Chagrin Falls dental crown replacement.

To start with, I identify the status of your gums. That will advise me if we can proceed or if they need some improvement. The area of the hole on the tooth is also imperative. It signals us if the nerves have been wounded or if a more complex remedy are warranted.

After eligibility for a Chagrin Falls dental crown comes the foundational work. I will most likely begin with cleaning and smoothing your teeth.

Afterward, some of your enamel may have already been removed. What will be left is a circular articulating base on which to put the dental crown like a strong brick.
