Chagrin Falls Dental Implants - A Long-term Solution
For those who need implants, before we do anything else, I first look at the state of the person's gums and jawbone. These need to be in a strong, vigorous condition. If they need some work, we must do that prior to doing anything else.
If you only have a minor issue, such as bleeding gums, the solution will be to take a couple of pills. However, if a lot of your gum is missing, or if I find big issues with your jaw, another course of action may be called for ahead of the implant being mounted.
>From time to time I use bones or bone prosthetics with the purpose of making the area where you want the Chagrin Falls dental implant root better equipped to hold it. I always aim for a stable foundation when patients entrust me with setting an implant. It's the same thing that happens when you construct a house. Your house isn't going to stand up for long unless the base is tough and able to hold up under changing demands.
After repairing the jawbone, then the implant roots will be fixed through a surgical procedure. At my dentistry office in Chagrin Falls, I take extreme care and caution during this part. The results of this part of the process will influence how long the implant will stay.
I will have my patients return every now and then, so I can make sure that the jaw and tissues are going to reject the implant. I can do x-rays, resonance frequency analysis, or just old-fashioned palpation to see if the implant is firmly rooted. These tests will tell us if we will proceed to the next phase of putting in the attachment to the crown or whether it would be best to wait longer in order to make the foundation even stronger.
When you schedule an appointment at my Chagrin Falls dental implant office, you will find out that I am very meticulous right out of the gate. I like to be sure that what I do and the crown you have implanted will not wear out over time.
